looks nice as a model. But the stairs should not be fastened to the ground. Now the mill cannot be turned to the wind.

The stairs are correct. The bottom part is just above ground level. The small wheel in the middle is to turn the complete housing to the wind.

not to start a yes/no discussion but on picture 19 it is clearly seen that the stairs are glued to the ground.
