Very neat!

If you zoom in close, you can even see an actual burger etched into the wood, under the service window. A nice touch!

I never played D&D growing up. Mom was a misguided Christian. I'm a Christian, too, and quite fundamental in my beliefs, but I'm also educated and see through a lot of BS that is associated with Christian extremists (both the misguided overt (Branch Davidians) and the unwittingly covert (your average Christian who has either misunderstood or been misled).

Sorry, I'm a talker and a sharer. I lurked here off and on for 10 years, I guess I'm finally opening up.

Anyhow, I mentioned D&D to say that my childhood was all about FASA games, specifically the Star Trek Starship Combat Simulator. I left gaming for quite a few years, focusing on my career and my (now-ex) wife. That was when I rediscovered FASA through the Mechwarrior video games (I know that they differ greatly from the original games).

My renewed interest in gaming came in the form of board games when Risk 2210 was released. I still hadn't heard of BGG at that time, even though I live in the Dallas area.

Then 2005 happened. I had been living in East Texas and commuting the Dallas area for work. We moved back to the Dallas area and I discovered Heroscape though a commercial on TV.

I loved it! I was very heavily involved in the Heroscape community for years. A lot of the players whom I met were old school 40K players and I learned a lot about painting and conversions. It fueled my interest in learning the more traditional miniatures games.

So here I am almost 15 years later. I don't play Heroscape anymore, but I still have all of my Heroscape stuff. When I see it being used for other games, it still brings a smile to my face. :)

I had hoped to place a smaller sized 'Diane's Diner' logo under each service window but I couldn't get the image printed small enough to fit without a level of manipulation I wasn't geared up to do. The lasercut burger image is by Warbases.

Here's another use for Heroscape tiles.
