I have just completed a model of an 18th Century Merchant Brig (2 masted sailing ship), which I wanted for some scenarios in my Jacobite Rebellion setup. I have never modelled a ship before and you can read all about it here: link Rod |

Nice work Rod! What did you use to cut the hull to the waterline? |

Hi Dave, A miniature electric welding iron (or soldering iron) which I have had for over 40 years. You can see it here taking the keel of a model rowing boat to make that closer to waterline. link Scroll down a few images to see it. There is also a bit more about it here. link Rod |

Nice modeling work. However, your blog has lots of annoying advertisements imbedded in your article that make it a bit of a pain to try and read. The ads detract from an otherwise fine blog posting. |

Der Alte Fritze, The adverts are because I use a free WordPress.com website. There seem to have been more adverts recently, so perhaps WordPress are using them to persuade me to pay for an upgrade to a plan which would have no adverts. Rod |
