Beautiful diorama, but there must be a story behind this little tableau? (hint hint) |

Nice model, but if they are just pulling a guy out of a manhole, the number of personnel seems way excessive … |

The modelling and brushwork are fine, but as a diorama it fails to tell a clear story. Why is there a man half in/out of a manhole? Are the others pulling him out or lowering him down? And why is there a Tiger II there? A good diorama tells an obvious story, and this one doesn't. Translating the comments of the Russians that have posted reveals that many of them are of a similar opinion. |

let us give them some credit (I rarely myself do frankly) We have here some great modelling of the tank and the figures. The ropes are all a bit slack. We have a witty title (good job the Royal Tiger stopped when it did) but this chap is not airborne and I cannot see Tom Hanks anywhere. It is a great find Tango. Wonderful modelling of something that makes no sense at all. |

Happy you like it my good friend!. (smile) Imho … looks like a rescue from a civilian (?) … or Volkstrum (?) … not a tanker because of the hat he wears … the stage seems to be in Germany after a fierce bombing .. Maybe there are civilians trapped in the sewers that must be rescued … or is a poor man who is being rescued … those who do … do not look like tankers … the tankers seem to be simpler observers of what's going on… Amicalement Armand

Only two of those helping seem to be military the rest look to be workers. |

The titel could be a Play on the Name Reiner ? |

Maybe the ropes are slack because he's been pulled up and now supports his own weight. Isn't that his hair rather than a hat? Short sides and longer on top like Peaky Blinders. Apparently this has become a fashionable style as a result of the tv series. Oh. Seems like nice modelling and painting. I think he should have gone with a tank or pulling a man out a hole. They look a bit random together. |

Very nice modelling … But I have not idea why they are pulling him out of the sewer ? |
Coalburner | 29 Oct 2019 6:49 p.m. PST |
They are not pulling him out of the sewer. They are lowering him into the sewer. Somebody has to retrieve the keys to the Tiger. |
von Schwartz | 29 Oct 2019 7:13 p.m. PST |
Aha, someone finally figured out what was going on!!!! Thank you coalburner, very astute of you. |
