America was engaged in a strategic counter insurgency in Vietnam. On one side was the government of the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam) supported by America and other Western Allies. On the other side was the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam) supported by Russia, China and other communist countries. The stakes could not have been higher. SPI released a very good COIN game called "Grunt" in the 60s too. That is about ops in Vietnam. I still have it. |

Grunt was very good. Iirc it came out in an issue of S&T. I have a slightly enhanced version they issued a bit later as an independent release. I believe they changed the title but I can't remember it at the senior moment. |

I think you are correct … yes it did come out in an SPI S&T issue. But yes I believe there was a second version made too. |
