Simple question:is CD(the classic version)suitable for solo play?Might be a problem with the orders rules, but maybe someone has a sollution for this?

Orders chits and hidden units do not go well with solo. you can find here and there (I can email you some) solo opponents system that works but you still will know far too much. You could maybe look at the very elaborate system done by Lock and load tactical solo for their boaardgames, ww2.

A fairly static defender with programmed responses would be the best bet. Actions triggered by player actions/progress to counter attack, fall back, etc.

Soloing CD has never been a problem for me. Considering the circumstances I'm not usually too surprised which orders have been issued when playing an opponent.

I wonder if a simple home rule, that rolls to see if the order was carried out, would be worth considering while playing solo? Bad radio links, miscommunication and down right incompetence would explain a failed roll I think.
