A couple of recent threads got me thinking that despite the huge armies a lot of the major campaigns are relatively short and can play through fairly quickly. Add in the fact that better generals try to avoid battle unless they have a good chance of winning, so campaigns are my preference for playing. I have a boatload of 15mm to re-base at the moment (debating which ruleset for smaller battles, plus sabots for Blucher) and will crack on with that over the winter. I picked up 'The Napoleon Options' a while ago but it's mainly existing campaigns and battles turning out differently. Have you any favourite alternate decisions leading to interesting campaigns or can recommend some useful sites? |
