In Rapid Fire v2 can MMG and HMG move and fire in the same turn?

And what rate do they move at?

If you could point out where in the rule book these are stated thst would be a bonus! Thanks

No move and fire on MMG or HMG

Final movement:

Page 68 – rule 9.2

In the Supplement "Rapid Fire for Rookies" it says tripod MMG/HMG can not fire if they moved.

"RF 2 Play Sequence" it brings up a link to a PDF that I have found very useful.

Thanks.

This has me confused though.

Rule 9.2 on page 68 says that mmg/hmg can't use the final move if they've fired.

That would lead me to think that mmg/hmg can move and fire, but not fire and move since the rules don't say that if a mmg/hmg moves in the first movement step (which comes before firing) it can't fire.

Yes, the whole move or fire issue was not clear in V2. That said, I have always ruled the tripod MMG/HMG can only move or fire.

It's consistent with the general rule laid out in v1 that all support weapons can either more or shoot. I think it makes sense as you need to set them up.

Just to be clear VMG/LMG/MMG/HMG on vehicles CAN move and fire. There are separate values given if the vehicle moves or remains stationary. Table 9: Machine Guns and Autocannon page 55.

Thanks all. No quarrel with a rule that says fire or move, not both. Just wanted to know what the rule is.
