Anyone got a good source for this please? I'm particularly interested in 1945, the Japanese Coup and surrender. NOT the invasion of Siam/Malaya/Burma 1942 Thanks John |

Thanks dwight shrute That wiki is okay but I'll follow the links and see where they go. Formations in Southern Expeditionary Army will be key I think. |

That is very interesting article. I read Fall's Street Without Joy, long ago. Highly recommended. I find the operations in Indochine during WWII and after the French reoccupation interesting and what it evolved into afterwards. Thanks for the link ! |

Fascinating. The link, and the links from the link, were very interesting. A theatre I knew little about – but now want to wargame! I shall check out your recommendation too, Legion. Thanks. |

The French occupation of Indochine during and after WWII is a very interesting topic for me. I even got my copy of Street With Joy at the Infantry School book store at Ft. Benning, GA. Waaay back when I was only an ROTC Cadet in '76-'77(?). Many of the Infantry, Armor, etc., officers read this before being deployed to Vietnam in the '60s & early '70s. Study of the French experience there provide some lessons learned. |
