Seems odd that the plan is only 14 of them per (infantry) Brigade, though.

Wouldn't an infantry brigade already have a Bn of Abrams incorporated into its structure? Or is this for Stryker brigades? If its for the Stryker brigades it makes a bit more sense as a direct fire support platform.

No, the Idiot Brigade Combat Team is entirely leg infantry, with some HMMWVs and towed 105s. No organic transportation for the infantry, either.

One troop of MPF tanks per IBCT cav squadron is a step in the right direction. Two would be even better.
