You were asked – TMP link Would you say that TMP currently has too much censorship, enough censorship, or not enough censorship? 38% said "too much censorship" 34% said "enough censorship" 6% said "not enough censorship" |

I dont know if the censorship is as bad as the censorship AND dawghousing combined. It's a bit of a double whammy. As a Dawghouse frequent flyer, I'm not always sure I understand the nature of the reason I was muzzled which makes it hard to learn from. I realize that I am edgier than some in terms of topics but I am rarely looking for trouble without some meritorious discussion.
I understand that the admins have a lot of work to do and that the reporting button helps you locate issues but to report because something is unpopular, is not the same as reporting something that is genuinely out-of-line. Also, if an admin erases what someone wrote, then what's the remaining issue? Unless, the admins are operating under the assumption that everyone "Knows" what they did. However, I can speak for myself, that I do not always know. So, maybe it's better to either edit or punish but not always both. I think if you had more a community, you'd have more camaraderie and less misunderstandings. And, the numerous subforums creates too many silos which keep everyone from getting familiar with each other and understanding where they are coming from. |

I comment a lot less than I use to. In fact I find that my participation level is dropping. I never know what the reaction is going to be to what I post. So it is just easier not to post so often. Other forums just delete the comment and move on. No one is publicly humiliated or put in jail. I have been spending more of my time on LA than here. |

Agree with minipigs, I too have a standing reservation in the dawghouse but I do not always know why. In at least one case neither did the person who put me there. I protested to Bill explaining my post and he sprung me, thank you again Bill. |

As a Dawghouse frequent flyer De Gaulle, when urged to take action against J-P Satre said,"You do not imprison Voltaire." I never know what the reaction is going to be to what I post. If you mean the reaction from our fellow TMPers; ain't that the truth. |

If you are Dawghoused, there is an explanation on your Profile page. Dawghousings are getting to be rare these days. The forums have been well behaved. |

I been to the dawghouse. I wear it as a badge of pride. |

I hear that the gruel served in the dawghouse is pretty good, but view from the window is just a brick wall. |

Gruel? No no, after my 10th stay, I made sure there now is a 2 Michelin star restaurant there. And while the waterpark is only ranked 18th in the world, it's still worth several visits. I'm also in negotiations with Disney, for them to open Disney world doghouse. And last week the World Grand prix race track was finally approved by the commission and F1 will have a grand prix there next year after Monaco. After hiring the ghost of Wyatt Earp to clean up the place, all the brothels have been moved to the obituary section of the forum. And the violent street gangs have escaped to the Vietnam board, but I'm sure all the napalm and M16s there will make short work of them. So yeah it's a nice place now, just don't joke about the ghost busters to Wyatt Earp, he gets nightmares about them. |

The forums have been well behaved. I have to agree. Also spending much time in the DH and even being Locked Out a couple of times, myself. I do believe this "calm" is directly based upon Locking out many juvenal s, etc., who were frequent problem children, etc. Now in saying that some of those gone were my e-pals and IMO they were the some of wheat being thrown out with chafe … |

caught up in the dragnet I think more hoisted by their own petard. While there are a number of people I miss who are not here any longer, including friends and others with whom I still communicate, I can't really argue that they weren't violating the rules. They're not rules if they only apply to the people you don't like or don't care about. |
