I had primed some night goblins and dwarves with GW's Wraithbone primer for Contrast Paint and when I brought them into the house following, one of the dogs got blamed for smelling like cat urine! He was even going to get a bath the odour was so obnoxious. It was not him. It was the figures. |

The contrast primers are of a new formula specifically to work with contrast paints. Given that I've never heard of getting a urine smell from primers before, I think it's a wraithbone thing. |

Not just a urine smell, but that of a male cat marking it's territory … |

Are you sure a cat didn't spray it when you weren't looking? (It only takes them a second…) |

I use Wraithbone on occasion and I can assure you it smells nothing like male cat urine. I think you have a bad can. |

I bought my first can of Wraithbone primer this week. I'm usually a Krylon Fusion guy. No cat urine smell whatsoever, just a normal spraypaint smell. FWIW, I'm a veterinarian; I'm a cat urine connoisseur. |

Back in the day, GW's brush on primer was called Smelly Primer so maybe it's a callback? |
