What do you call that little finger-powered drill thing-a-ma-bob with a check for tiny drill bits that is operated with one hand? I lost mine and have to replace it. |

Search for 'pin vise'. Or try Amazon. |
rustymusket | 03 Oct 2019 1:04 p.m. PST |
Hobby and craft shops, hardware stores, probably Walmart and of course Amazon. |

Except, as it turns out, it's pin VISE. Just for reference. I had the thing so long I couldn't remember what it was called. LOL Thanks everybody! Now I can make the sword guards for my early Russian Cuirassiers (1/72). |

It's a pin VICE in the UK. So both are correct, depending upon which side of the pond you are on. |

Ok… now why is it called a pin vise/vice? |
KeepYourPowderDry | 04 Oct 2019 2:15 p.m. PST |
Skipper it was originally a vice/vise that gripped pins. The vice/vise hasn't really changed, the pins have developed into drill pits |

Or even drill Bits. Bloomin' autocorrect |
