"What is the most used army in your collection?" Topic

We've posts about armies we have painted and never used. What army in your collection has had the most use?

In my case it's my RalPartha Zulus. In part and as whole they have appeared on the table countless times since the late 1970's.

A second place would go to my Old Glory Spanish from the Spanish American War.

Number three is my RalPartha Asnar.

My New Kingdom Egyptians.

The last couple years it would be my Napoleonic armies: French 1st, then then rest.

I am one of those who ridicules new miniatures companies for beginning with ancient Roman armies, but I probably play my Polybian or Marian Romans in 15mm and 28mm more than any other armies.

Probably my 15mm Alexandrian Macedonians. Mostly Mike's Models for what was my first 15mm army. Painted around the time WRG 6th edition came out. Still come out occasionally for ADLG.

My 25mm Zhodani infantry company and Imperial Marines platoon are tied for most used, probably because they're usually facing each other at convention games.

This year my Wars of the Roses 15mm army.
165 battles. Gosh.

My 40mm FIW.

Changes from year to year. In my lifetime Ney's VI Corps from 1810 in the Peninsula. Today it's my Flames of War Panzergrenadiers since it's about the only game I can get.

I guess, My 7YW Prussians, with Vikings a good second!

Over my lifetime, 30mm Napoleonics, based for CLS. Over the past five years, probably 28mm horse & musket, individually based.

Probably a tie between my 28mm ACW (both sides) and
28mm Nap0leonics (French and Prussians, with a few

No real armies anymore, mostly collections for skirmish games. Lately my Post-Apocalyptic collection has seen the most use.

My 25/28 mm French Napoleonic Army hands down… although not necessarily all 1,000+ at any one time!

That's a tough call. Either my Dark Ages/fantasy Irish or my Nurgle Death Guard plague marines. Followed closely by my British Colonial.

Easily my 28mm Normans for SAGA.

Even though i gave up on GW games 10 years ago, my 40k orks would be the most used. Most beaten, too

Middle-North Medieval warriors. They work for lots of different forces and in many milieu other than Medieval.

The most used army currently in my collection is my 28mm Warlord Games British WW2 Army for Bolt Action.

Probably the 13C Germans followed by the Late Republican Romans.
