We've posts about armies we have painted and never used. What army in your collection has had the most use?

In my case it's my RalPartha Zulus. In part and as whole they have appeared on the table countless times since the late 1970's.

A second place would go to my Old Glory Spanish from the Spanish American War.

Number three is my RalPartha Asnar.

I am one of those who ridicules new miniatures companies for beginning with ancient Roman armies, but I probably play my Polybian or Marian Romans in 15mm and 28mm more than any other armies.

batesmotel3402 Oct 2019 8:31 a.m. PST

Probably my 15mm Alexandrian Macedonians. Mostly Mike's Models for what was my first 15mm army. Painted around the time WRG 6th edition came out. Still come out occasionally for ADLG.

My 25mm Zhodani infantry company and Imperial Marines platoon are tied for most used, probably because they're usually facing each other at convention games.

PzGeneral02 Oct 2019 8:45 a.m. PST

US Army, circa 1910 and Martian Invaders….

Varies from year to year but this year it would be my generic medieval armies

Changes from year to year. In my lifetime Ney's VI Corps from 1810 in the Peninsula. Today it's my Flames of War Panzergrenadiers since it's about the only game I can get.

Over my lifetime, 30mm Napoleonics, based for CLS. Over the past five years, probably 28mm horse & musket, individually based.

Ed Mohrmann Supporting Member of TMP02 Oct 2019 11:42 a.m. PST

Probably a tie between my 28mm ACW (both sides) and

The Beast Rampant02 Oct 2019 2:19 p.m. PST

Whole lot more gaming in the early days:

- Warhammer skaven

- 40K chaos marines or squats. Probably chaos, but that's really cheating, as I've always treated them as multiple separate forces with some crossover units.

Fallout Wasteland Warfare factions

You must have been busy with those. grin

nnascati Supporting Member of TMP02 Oct 2019 3:01 p.m. PST

28mm ACW followed by 15mm TYW Bavarians.

Coyotepunc and Hatshepsuut03 Oct 2019 8:48 a.m. PST

Martian Root Canal03 Oct 2019 11:07 a.m. PST

Easily my 28mm Normans for SAGA.

Chuckaroobob03 Oct 2019 6:24 p.m. PST

Even though i gave up on GW games 10 years ago, my 40k orks would be the most used. Most beaten, too

Personal logo etotheipi Sponsoring Member of TMP04 Oct 2019 3:10 p.m. PST

Middle-North Medieval warriors. They work for lots of different forces and in many milieu other than Medieval.
