Guns & limbers are very nice. In real life, how far back would they keep the powder barrel? I'm curious (my Covenanter artillery has its barrels in much the same place). |

Thanks Whilst seventeenth century health and safety regulations were considerably more relaxed than they are now, I imagine even they would put powder barrels further back than I have them. Certainly not next to the man with the match |

Thanks for the reply. We all take shortcuts for wargaming purposes. I think my rules adjusts to issues such as how far away the powder is by making the firing rate glacial. BTW I dearly love ECW artillery & always field it though it's rather useless in most games. Yours, for example, is too nice looking to ever consider not putting it on the table. |
