HI folks, Amazon are encouraging me to pick some new reading and one of them is this book by Michael Logusz, which is the second in his series on the Wilderness War of 1777, apparently. Is this worth a read? TIA Phil |

It's no where as good as the first one. I really enjoyed the first book. The second one was not as enjoyable to read. And if I had it to do all over again, I wouldn't have wasted my money on book three. If you can get your hands on Tomahawk and Musket in the Osprey books I enjoyed that book as well. |

I have to admit, I gave up on the first volume. I didn't think it was as balanced or as well written as Richard Ketchum's Saratoga. The books by Gavin Watt are good for that neck of the woods also. |

Watts books are superb with lots of gaming potential |

Logusz' section on tactics was….weird. For Saratoga, get Luzader or Schnitzer/Troiani. Ketchum is OK, but dated. |
