I don't see the hidden guns that would make it a Q-ship. this just looks like an armed merchantman but a very nice model all the same. |

Agreed, this lovely model is not a "Q" ship. However, I believe it was Lindburg who did make a similarly scaled model of the "Atlantis." I had one and it was a doozy, complete with a removable dummy second funnel and other tricks to change her silhouette. She also had "crates" on deck which could be opened to reveal her guns. The forward hatch opened to reveal her Arado search plane. She was one of the first such kits I built as a kid knowing what she was and taking (for me) considerable pains to detail her. Anyone know if that model is still around? TVAG |

Roll Models used to carry a lot of the Lindberg naval kits; I believe that they were taken over by Sprue Brothers, so it might be worth looking there. |
