…War Between Russia and the US. "If Russia and the United States launched an all-out nuclear war, it would spell disaster for everyone on Earth, a new study suggests. Not only would explosions, fires and radiation exposure kill millions in targeted cities, but a "nuclear winter" lasting months to years would also drastically alter the Earth's climate, causing freezing summers and worldwide famine. The Cold War may be over, but nuclear bombs are still uniquely destructive, and there's more than enough of them to cause climate catastrophe, said study co-author Alan Robock, an environmental scientist at Rutgers University in New Jersey. .." Always love the phrase "a new study suggests". A new study suggests that pollution may be harmful to the environment. lol |

I suspect if there is an "all out" attack, nuclear Winter will be the least of the worries for those living in the countries of the major combatants. Certainly could be an issue for those on the sidelines, or a world away, but very few in Russia or the USA will need to concern themselves with cold, cloudy days. Instant sunshine and unbearable heat yes! Cold, no. |

Wow, never heard that before. That's snarky sarcasm for those who may be less discerning. :) |
