link I'm just getting into 3d printing, but I saw this blogpost and I thinking this is a cool way to make customizable terrain pieces such as statues and local landmarks.
Does anybody have experience in on this topic? Cheers, Martin from Canada

Kept the first link. Looks interesting and getting better. I looked at this a couple years back (photos to 3d) and it was dreadful, a couple years makes a big difference. |

No one is going to get into your game room claming you usurped the statue of Antaxerxes from xxxx and sit you on a bamboo for it. Selling it would be, maybe, ( wargaming niche) different. |

The sketchfab site has examples of using a camera to create 3d models. Note that converting a model to 3d printable format might be a skilled task. Sketchfab is down at the moment but if you search for Swinsty when it comes back online there is a church model created from photos. link |
