We're talking, of course, of the brief glimpse of "Dark Rey" from last month's new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker footage. Seeing the trilogy's hero wearing the black hood of the dark side, wielding a double red lightsaber, was shocking and mysterious. What could it possibly mean? Well, if it's a redux of Empire Strikes Back and Light Rey confronts Dark Rey it will create a split in the space-time continuum. Since Rey is an unbeatable Mary Sue, neither Light Rey nor Dark Rey can defeat the other, so they will be cast into a space time corridor where they will be locked in combat until the heat-death of the universe. *Hat tip to TOS episode "The Alternative Factor" |
