As a community we're pretty good at looking for, and often finding, cheap alternatives to the name brand standards. What about pluck foam? |

Amazon offers several sizes link
link offers pluck foam but it is only pluck foam, no backer board. They offer in different sizes but not, I think, any of the common hobby carrier sizes |
