At the time I got the rebel Hoth soldiers I also picked up a Princess Leia.

I thought that this would be the most difficult model of the whole batch, but it turned out to actually be the simplest.

Her Endor color scheme is actually very simple. It consists of dark blue pants, a lighter combat vest, a tan shirt, and then the waist belt gear, blaster and boots.

I used Citadel Contrasts to base coat the boots, blaster and belt gear. The rest of the model I used traditional layer paints.

Then I took more Contrasts and used them in an alternate way, as shade washes.

The Contrasts are actually very effective shade washes if you dilute them properly with acrylic medium. Because the pigment is so strong and because they so effectively shade creases and recesses they actually can make for better washes than traditional washes like Army Painter or Citadel Inks, etc.

I used Ultramarines Blue to shade the combat vest, HEAVILY diluted with the Citadel Contrast medium. I used Skeleton Horde again heavily diluted with the Contrast medium to shade the tan shirt.

I put single drybrushes over the belts, blaster and boots.

Her face and arms were base coated in Corax White and then given a coat of Contrast Guilliman Flesh. Her hair was one of the Citadel brown paints followed by a single drybrush of a bone colored paint.

All told I painted her in only about twenty minutes! Using the Contrasts in combination with traditional paints I was able to get her base coat colors done very quickly. Pretty good results with a decent amount of detail for the tabletop.

Simple and without any frills. Excellent.
