…suspended as money will instead be used for border wall "The Pentagon's move to divert some $3.6 USD billion from military construction coffers to fund 175 miles of border fencing will defund planned projects in 23 states, three U.S. territories and at bases in 20 other countries, the Defense Department announced Wednesday. The Pentagon is confident that Congress will later provide another $3.6 USD billion for the 127 planned construction projects worldwide from which funds were diverted to pay for sections of border wall to be built in Texas, Arizona and California as part of President Donald Trump's February national emergency proclamation, a senior defense official said Wednesday. Yeah, that has screwed over carrier repairs and operations on the East Coast. There is ONE carrier out of 6 over there that is deployable. From now until 2022. |

Lion, Don't see anything on the list defunding carrier and ops on East Coast. List show delayed military construction projects only, as far as I could tell. Mike |

There is a long line of carriers waiting to get into Newport News, where 50+year old equipment hasn't been properly maintained since the Sequester. |
