That is pretty damn good (assuming he didn't actually set a Panther on fire and photograph it), verging on photo realistic.

That is not an easy effect to achieve. I tried it on a USS Arizona but never finished it as it simply did not look remotely this good. The scorched grass is very clever and convincing.

I see only the commander's hatch open and fear the interior might be "unpleasant"

I'll come back to it as astonishing.

Having tried and failed on a wrecked Arizona Bridge that was actually brilliantly modelled (modesty has always been my strong point). This had brass work you would not believe. A dozen (or more) photos of the directors with doors opened, the collapsed foremast. The fighting top drilled out with every window opened that should be open, based on 8th December, open. More brass than Plastic.

I threw it away in the end. I did not achieve what I see here.

Even then. A very prolonged fire produces more white ash, as seen on the tracks. Slightly more black for a battleship that burnt for 36 hours. But I have never seen anything done as well as this. My Arizona is in a landfill now
