There are many online forums for discussions of current events, politics, religion, models (not to be confused with wargame figures but those of the more prurient variety), etc. Would you like to see TMP, described in it's masthead as a web-magazine for miniature wargamers, focus more closely on matters related to miniatures wargaming and reduce the amount of non-wargame material?

Like things as they are.

It's not as if contributors are ignoring miniatures in order to write about something else. If non-miniature material is excluded it will not necessarily increase the submission of more game-related material.

Largely this site depends on the content of its members. Want more miniatures focus? Bring more miniatures focus.

Also, you can turn off forums you don't wish to see. Just turn off the stuff you don't want to see and you shouldn't have a problem.

No, but it might make it easier to find the miniatures wargaming items you're looking for.

I do try to contribute miniatures wargaming threads. I was a lurker for years and it took a while to become confident enough to begin posting. But I realized that if I like seeing posts on wargaming then I'd better begin to contribute, too. grin
I'd hate to turn off an entire forum and potentially miss things in which I have an interest. I just think it would be helpful to keep the focus on miniatures wargaming.

It's a little ironic that anyone reading or contributing to this thread is doing the exact opposite of "focusing on miniature wargaming".

I suspect Tango01 is the number one poster here on TMP.

In many categories, there is not a lot of new content, and apparently soon to be even far less, and even fewer responses. Many postings don't even get a single response at all, so……

We're just minor contributors to Tango's forum …

I like the way that Bill has set up this site with the Blue Fez option. For the vast majority of the time I visit this site to discuss miniatures or to get input on the latest news in the hobby. However, at times, I like getting people's input on matters that might be considered political. Since membership in the Blue Fez is by invitation only and is kept separate from the other forums on TMP, one doesn't have to worry about bothering members who don't want to talk about politics. If people would just learn to abide by the Blue Fez rule and keep politics and similar controversial topics confined to the Blue Fez, then I think everyone would be a lot happier. Therefore, the problem had nothing to do with the way TMP is set up, or with any of its particular rules; the problem rests with people not following the rules and refusing to confine their controversial topics to the Blue Fez.

This is the road more often traveled, IMO. I think your premise is a non-starter with Bill.

As to your question, I learned a long time ago: "Chew the straw, spit out the sticks." I ignore topics which do not interest me. Better mental health through ignoring things I don't care about, or find potentially offensive, or not related to miniature wargaming/RPG's, on TMP. ;-) Cheers!
