An interesting read so far. Haven't had time to work my way through the whole thing, but … Pretty good synopsis of the Soviet side of the Polish campaign of September, 1939, and of the Finnish "Winter War" of 1939/40. Some interesting information that I had not read before (ie: identifying Soviet defeats in the Polish campaign), presented in summary form, with additional setting of the political underpinnings of those campaigns that is reasonably clear-headed and not weighed down with propaganda. I'll be interested to work my way through the "Great Patriotic War" experiences of the division as well. -Mark (aka: Mk 1) |
