They'll send in troops before their big anniversary party in October.
Surprised they've let things go this long.
On a more ominous turn, a number of the protests leaders have been kidnapped, and disappeared, just like the head of Interpol. One wonders what horrors they'll suffer at the hands of their "masters" and if they'll ever been seen alive, again.
My guess is they are getting the Otto Warmbier treatment.
The rest of the world should cease to do ALL business with them, but I suspect that will not happen, since, as I've always said, many "capitalists" with no conscience will pay for the bullets for the firing squads for themselves and their own friends and families, if there is a buck to be made in doing it.
Note – I'm a die-hard capitalist supporter, but some CEOs/Execs are just plain stupid, and don't exercise any judgment when it comes to things like that. They are like crack addicts, with no self-control.
You can bet the communist, Chinese regime WILL ensure their survival, no matter what the cost. We saw that clearly demonstrated just over 30 years ago, at Tiananmen Square.
My hope is they miscalculate, overplay their hand, and get overthrown, so democracy can thrive in Hong Kong and China, but I suspect that is a very long shot.
Certainly that is desired by those in Hong Kong, so the protesters there should be fully supported by the rest of the "free world". The people there are very brave, and literally are putting their lives on the line to express their desires.
We should support them, wholeheartedly, and openly.
China can't concede victory to HK, since that will result in the communist regime's ultimate demise, because that will give others that want freedom and democracy ideas too.
