Hi anyone out have any experience with Clash of Armour 2 rules?
If so, can you help me.
Basically I'm having a problem deciphering the anti – tank gun values , basically as listed the gun is noted against which there is a list of numerical values, sometimes there is note against these values such as ammunition type and / or vehicle type or wether it's is an anti- tank gun or not. Very often the first line has no note against it other than the name of the gun. l understand that the different numerical values represent the gun being used under different circumstances and different vehicles, but I'm not sure what the line of stats without any note means and which one I'm actually meant to use , one of the lines follows the word penetrate and if different ammunition is used then there's is a separate penetration stat line , this I can follow but I'm not sure what the first uni noted line represents and it's often quite different from the other entries.
I apologise as this explanation appears to make no sense but to some one familiar with the rules it may do.

I've no idea where that rule set is (in the basement). Try clicking the Detailed Description here: TMP link

Thanks walking Sailor , have already checked that out – looks like it's about the first edition any how I'll persevere with the text of the rules, there's a lot of interesting concepts in them.

I used Kampfgruppe Command, which is the sequel to CoA2. In those rules, the first line is the to hit number. Sometimes there is a second "to hit" number because A stationary AT gun has a better ROF and visibility than a turret mounted weapon. The first line is usually the tank mounted weapon. So a US 76.2L52 has a to hit number of 8 at 8" if mounted in a Sherman, but a 9 if a AT artillery piece.
