Have you ever lost track of a painted army in your collection? I don't mean stolen; I mean forgotten, misplaced, wandered off… I recently realized one of my armies was 'missing'… eventually found it, still in the travel case I last left it in (which belonged to a different army!)! |

Every time I sort through my lead pile I find something that I had forgotten about. Always a nice surprise. |

That's why I've gotten almost everything separated and labelled, especially my unpainted figures so I won't lose track of them and buy the same figures a second time. Jim |

Yes, several times – Searching through my painted figures I run across units and whole armies I forgot I had. As @Micman says, it's always a nice surprise. But I've never lost one I remembered. |

I picked up an order of Peter Pig ACW Ironclads from them at a show and promptly lost it. Eventually I gave in and bought more from them and some from eBay. Of course I then found the original order hiding behind a chair. I now have far more Ironclads that I'll ever need and of course haven't got round to painting any of them yet! |

Well, if an army the size of a Mighty Army army can be considered for this poll, then yes. Where the heck did I place those Gnomes and Fire Demons?! |

I left a box of painted 28mm Vikings (about 125 figures) in a flower bed outside the club where we meet. Didn't miss them for a few days. When I contacted the club the steward had brought them in and was awaiting them being claimed. Very relieved…. |

I lost FIVE--all 5mm (H&R and Irregular) Seven Years War, with supply train. They filled a footlocker. My best guess is that I'd had them with me in my parents' house when my father died, and just flat forgot them pulling my stuff out that week. The house was then sold outside of the family, and so nearly as I can determine, none of my siblings did any sort of sweep before the place was emptied out. Never have entirely replaced them. |

Not a whole army, but for sure units – that's who I wound up with two SYW British 17th Light Dragoons |

Not a whole army, but there are 70 or so Macedonian Phalangites somewhere in my house, I'm just not entirely certain where! |

I keep everyone on a tight line, every once in a while some troops get over to another barracks but at roll call I will find them. |

I'm missing my Dragon Ogres. |

I lost an element of 15mm Assyrian archers. The s have been MIA for maybe 5 years. They will be in big trouble when they return. |

Never lost a painted force thankfully. That would indeed be depressing. A friend lost a WFB dwarf army decades ago and still asks every now and then if anyone found it. I have bought units for new projects twice but technically I never knew I had lost the first purchase until I went to add the new units to the proper box. |

my Essex Feudal knight army was considered MIA after being gone for almost four years. Truth be told I thought it was gone forever when a friend asked me why my figures were on a "long term loan" to a 3rd party which prompted a road trip which recovered said Knights |
