All,
So in searching for my figure options for 13th century figures, I came across v & v. I am confused though. Is v & v part of Fireforge or a separate company. How are the figures, and what are they compatible with?

V an V is a separate company. The sculpts are magnificent and they are resin figures. Scale wise they are large 28's actually closer to 30mm and the horses for the mounted figures are almost 40mm. The do not mix well with other ranges like Gripping Beast, Old Glory, Perry, etc. The foot figures could be mixed in with Gripping Beast I my opinion, though they will be slightly taller. I have Vikings, Normans, and Byzantines and they are beautiful figures! Just on the large side of things!

V&V is a company from the Ucraine, Fireforge is Italian.
While the resin minis of both look similar on a first glance, those from V&V are (sorry, Fireforge) more detailed in sculpting and casting (that said, Fireforge has some VERY nice resin minis).

I suppose you get yourself a set and see for yourself. They sometimes have many components and need assembly, but they are small pieces of art, and imho cheap for the quality you get – I have bought resin minis at up to five times that price that are outmatched by V&V.

I have both sets of the V and V Vikings, they are lovely but tower over everything.

Great for skirmish, not so good for rank and file

My two cents

The fact that they have to be assembled is a turn off to me.

I have them, the assembly was quite easy and they stay together better than other resin figures I have.

Sizewise, they fit in perfectly with my Footsore miniatures, I only have the females so maybe there is a difference?

They are really really nice miniatures.

The assembly was easy and actually a lot of fun to making different figures. I have no problem with some size differential because not all people are the same height or build.
