1. Always have a spare superglue on hand, just in case your current superglue runs out at an awkward time. 2. Don't stock up on too much superglue, it hasn't got much of a shelf life. |

Keep it in a sealed container, in the fridge. Lasts longer that way. Remember to let it warm up to room temperature before use DAMHIK. |

After your superglue has solidified, don't throw it away. The foil tube, once unpeeled can be used as distressed armour on tanks or as the basis for flags. The solid glue itself can be stuck to bases representing large rocks. The tube caps are in demand by those who create home made SF scenery or space craft. Recycle! |

I like to have some nail polish remover close by. The number of times I've had gun carriage wheels stuck to my fingers… |

Use the little tubes. My use of the little tubes has always outpaced it's ability to dry up or seal it's own cap on. |

Buy the smallest tubes of superglue that you can find. @Narratio: Great suggestions on recycling! |

Keep it dry. I remember a doctor once telling me about the origins of superglue. Apparently, it was originally developed in the 60s (?) as part of a battlefield med kit. It was moisture activated fast 'drying' glue that could be used by 'medical amateurs' to close and seal fast flowing wounds in a hurry – at least enough to stop you bleeding to death before getting to a MASH. I use it for that too. A small scalpel cut / paper cut is easily closed and sealed with a spot of the stuff. |

Hey, I started using the gel Super Glue, it is a lot easier to use and I hardly ever glue my fingers together any more. |

Rule 1 – DON'T BUY Metal. Plastic does not need super glue, it bounces if dropped and rarely even chips paint. |

Nail polish remover is for amateurs. Go to the big-box or paint store and get a quart of acetone. Try to get one with a screw cap that you can open one handed. |

Can you say "contact dermatitis"? I knew ya could. |

Whatever kind of glue you use, how you use it, and how you free yourself from it, remember this: DON'T DO ANY OF THIS IF YOU HAVE A CAT ON YOUR SHOULDER!!!! LT
(who once walked through the Securities and Exchange Commission building with his left hand superglued to his briefcase.) |

I thought you were gonna say you had the cat glued to your hand, or elsewhere. |
