Is thia just the AI rulebook as before…years ago….or are there substantial changes. |
Soaring Soren | 24 Aug 2019 6:57 a.m. PST |
I still have my copy of Bommas Over Da Sulfur River, but these new models look quite a bit larger than 6mm. May look to get the rulebook though |
Legion 4 | 24 Aug 2019 7:30 a.m. PST |
Look at the link … they show a pic of the game on a board. link Yes the AI models are more like true 6mm(?) than the aircraft models released with Epic. Another example of GW's "floating scales" … I still have many of the AI aircraft awaiting paint. To use with my E40K forces … |

WOW! What a rip off on the pricing! If you get it in the UK, it's only 55 Pounds, but if you buy it in the USA, it's $90. USD The exchange rate makes it about $67. USD Buy it in the UK if you can! |

only 9 aircraft models though :-( |
beingshort1 | 24 Aug 2019 11:26 a.m. PST |
Looks more like X-Wing scale(1/220). |

But no retailers in the UK are allowed to ship this side of the Atlantic. |

The pound is weaker against the dollar than it's been in a decade, most companies are conservative about such things- it would only take to get the exchange rate back to a more normal $1.50 USD … |

So long as we can get the Aeronautica flight stands again separately Ize be happy. I should have ordered more of those back when they were available. |

Well, GW doesn't set prices by the exchange rate, they use arbitrage. Apparently the game will be released early September. Some stores in the UK reportedly already have an advance copy. It would be nice to get those bases separately! |
Legion 4 | 25 Aug 2019 7:46 a.m. PST |
The bases I saw are not the old AI ones. But similar … And it looks like these aircraft may be even a bit bigger than the original AI versions … Here are the pics I found online …
The Imperial look like the original AI aircraft …
The Orks' look a bit different than the originals …
As with new Titans released and now with AI 2.0 … I didn't get the new Titans and won't get the new Aircraft. I just don't need'm !

Now plastic kits which will give some flexibility to Ork builds. And hopefully be cheaper. I'm down for Imperial Navy, Orks, Eldar and Chaos. They've got their hooks in me. The game mat looks really small but I guess you could buy your own mats or combine multiples of theirs. |

I have all the Epic Scale Aircraft from both GW & FW. Orks, Imperial, Eldar, Chaos, Squat, Tau, and Necron[which were fan made]. Many still needing paint. So as I said, as with the new Titans … I won't be getting any of the AI 2.0 … Also found another pic of the new AI 2.0 … again these like the rest of the Imp A/C look like the originals. Verses the Orks which have some newer versions.

They look like they converted well to plastic. I'm eager to see the Lightening and the 2x Chaos aircraft. Fyi, if anyone wants custom maps that are larger than the one that comes in the game, Deep Cut Studio will overlay a hexagon grid over almost any terrain map you can think of in 4x4 or 4x6.

This just came out. Nice to hear these are the same scale as AT so I can use the AT terrain I already have: link |
Legion 4 | 26 Aug 2019 3:48 p.m. PST |
Terrain in 6-8 or even 10mm can be used pretty much as the same. Based on the piece … |
