So many amazing ECW ranges out there now days. Here is my collection of 800 Hinchliffes, a range sculpted back in the late seventies by Peter Gilder. many of the regiments of horse you see were purchased ready painted from Ian Hinds and were incredibly dirty, but a good clean up with soft brush and water revealed some beautiful vintage painting beneath the filth!

I should add that the entire collection was passed onto a new custodian who continues to add to them when I moved to Spain from the UK a couple of years back and I had to choose what I could bring and what would be best left behind due to fragility. No regrets though, I still get photo updates from the new owner who loves them and cherishes them :)

That is some museum quality work, and a great place to hide your gold in your figures.

Beautiful brushwork. You really painted them in a manner that best brings out the sculpt.

Oh I've always admired that line. My hobby regret, when I was in high school, I didn't collect them. Should have bought a regiment a month from Coulter-Bennet back in the days of ollllllllllld'.

Are those the models from the ancient " BBC battleground show"?

I own a fair amount of these. My regret is I sold a large painted Byzantine army of Hinchliffe figs. The guy I sold them to had a large painted army of Huns.

Classic figures with great paint job. I don't think I could give these up to live in Spain.

Shag,
I would take them with me, and collect new regiments of Hinchcliffe troops for a Rocroi battle set, ( yes, they aren't perfect historically, but oooh that old school mojo…

These were my "gateway"into the period. Lovely clean castings, my only complaint was lack of poses. They're among my fondest possessions.
