As this is on the Napoleonic Products Board we can guess the period of interest but what "scale"? Figures can vary from couple of mms to 28mm….and well beyond that we now see increasingly.

Another issue is postage and import duties. I need to get any orders from the EU in in the next 2 months before customs barriers go up (and my pounds are worthless). Mind you, could be that Brigade Games Miniatures can come from the US without hitting customs blocks soon?

You are based in PRChina, despite your nom de plume?

If you're not in the US, I'd avoid buying from that country. Absolutely nothing wrong with the US, but I find foreign postage rates from the USPS appallingly high.

I buy direct from the manufacturer/originator of a range of figures and there are too many of those selling Napoleonics to list.

Then throw the guy a bone and just list one that you think is good.

Hi Matsukaze

I see that you are in China and realize that English may not be your first language and you will not be thatfamilar with miniature gaming. Your question is very general and is like asking someone" where in China is a good place to buy rice?:
All your answers will be based on personal opinions and not what you want. There are literally hundreds of manufacturers and outlets for historical miniatures

You must first down and think out what you want to do in Wargaming . What historical period are you interested in and what period do you want to game. Once decided what size of figures and what size of game? There are again lots of choices and areas. Also do you have friends that are interested in wargaming Their choices and possibility as opponents is also important.

Let's just suggest that you see all the pretty pictures on the web and want to get involved . So let's suggest World War 2 which may be the easiest and most popular area to get into.
A good start would be Flames of War and you can go to go to Battlefront Hobbies and look at their basic start up sets for a game.

They have most of what you need to start including figures vehicles and simple rules. The page I linked you to is a beginner's guide letting you know what you are getting into There are also painting guides. Being based in Malaysia shipping to China is easy and quick.

Some of the posters are going to say that Flames of War is bad and there are better sets of rules, better figures etc etc. But in my opinion no other manufacturer provides such an excellent introduction and free too. You can read away and not even buy a single book or figure until you decide to. There are not many places that provide that.

If WW2 is not your interest then go through the posts and check out some of the many blogs that you will find Decide on what you want to do and then come back here to ask more specific questions.

Thank you all for answering me!
Maybe my question is too general to be answered. I am sorry that I didn't describe my question more clearly.
My favorite area is Napoleonic era, but another cold weapon periods or battles of lines and muskets also attract me strongly.
The shipment cost is indeed my first concern. I bought VIKINGS of Victrix from Caliver Books, whose price is really nice. But the tracking postage to China cost me much.
Brigade Games, yes, I know it for a long time. Any other online stores?
Thanks again for your all kind reply!
