1.Battlefield Terrain Chapter. The Plough part. "Plough is GOOD but changes to ROUGH if the game's 1st PIP score is 1, due to heavy rain or crops." Actually means the defender's first bound if he rolled a "1"? Nothing to do with the following bound? 2.Waterway part. " It can be bordered by a beach or flood plain extending up to 2 BW further, which is good going." Do these beaches or flood plain count as part of waterway feature? Or nothing, just good going like gameboard surface? 3.Road part. Can road go through woods or hills or marshes? The rules didn't say that but I think YES. Because it mentioned " Combat on it is in the going it is passing through. " and go through woods make sense. 4.BUA part. City and fort can be placed on a hill. How about Edifice? No? 5.Camp part. "… it is depicted by an outer perimeter consisting of a simple earthwork and/or palisade, laagered wagons, a brush boma, a group of medieval tents …" What is a brush boma? thank you all |

" What is a brush boma?" A traditional East African enclosure, normally made of thorn bushes, used as a cattle-corral or to defend a camp or village. link |

1. Yes, only the first pip score is considered, and if a 1 is rolled the terrain remains ROUGH throughout the game. |

1. Yes. The defender takes the first bound. If his roll is "1", then the plough becomes rough going. 2. The beach or flood plain is "part" of the waterway feature. It is placed with it. The beach or flood plain is counted as good going. The waterway is impassable. 3. A road may go through woods and marsh. 4. Yes. Area terrain features generally may not be placed on top of another. A City or a Fort BUA is an exception. A City or a Fort can be modeled with a hill or placed on an existing hill-if allowed by the terrain features (Tropical cannot). If taken as a combined feature, it is placed as a City or a Fort. A combined features counts as two choices, both the hill and the BUA. Please note that the hill provides no extra defense for the City or Fort. 5. What GurKhan stated. Joe Collins |

@lkmjbc3 "3. A road may go through woods and marsh." how about all kinds of hills? Thank you! Frank |

Hi Frank Roads – they can bend to go around other terrain features or they can go through or over them. The only thing it can't cross is a waterway. Cheers David |
