I am quite impressed by the battle write-up. The terrain in particular just makes my head spin. It seems to use the same bits and pieces that so many of us have in our box of terrain goodies. There is so much in that terrain that I can see from my own personal experiences (driving along any of a few dozen lakeside/coastal roads), and that I have read in unit histories and AARs. And yet, so much that is seemingly beyond the reach of most of us with a "green mat with 1 inch high pre-formed styrofoam hills, a few houses or trees scattered about" approaches to wargame terrain. I enjoyed the story, enjoyed the pics, and now have some stuff the think about too. -Mark (aka: Mk 1) |
