Hey guys!

I recently found a copy of this game NiB on eBay and decided to do an unboxing about it! I'm really excited to dig into a piece of wargaming history.

I'd love to know your thoughts – I haven't really made YouTube videos of this type before.

I had the same eBay find myself a few months back. Nice miniatures. I haven't painted them yet.

Here's a link to my blog post.

in the comments section, one of my regulars stated that Moonraker now owns the rights to these miniatures in the UK.

There's also a Grenadier game called Combat Zone (which may or may not be the same thing). They have a fan-supported website:

Cheers!

Oh man that is awesome! Thanks man!

We certainly sell the Future Warriors range:

Combat Zone is a different game and is set at a slightly different level. Kill Zone emphasises squad movement and tactics whilst Combat Zone is more centred on individuals. Many years ago, I played the same scenario using both sets of rules and it was surprising how different the games played out.

As someone who was involved in the development of KZ it's gratifying to see it still has the power to enthuse…

Outstanding guys – I'll def be giving you a shout-out in the next video I do. Going to be ordering what I'm missing as well from the set..

Are they in any way affiliated with these? link

I've played Kill Zone a couple times. It's fast and fun, but watch out for the rocket launcher. The blast radius is huge. It's a shame it didn't get more development, it's pretty obvious how vehicles and powered armour would work but it'd be nice if there were official writeups. I've got a ton of Future Warriors figures. Recently I built a couple boxes of Defiance Games panzergrenadiers for my troopers to fight.

ntdars: I'm not sure if they're affiliated, but they could certainly be used. According to Carrion Crow, the majority of the range was sculpted by Mark Copplestone, not Nick Lund. (Not that that really matters as far as the game goes.)

If you like 'em, use 'em!

Thanks Piper! I'll def notate that in the next video…

What is this Carrion Crow you speak of? I'm not familiar :)

Pretty good game as I recall. I played a few games of it way back when.

Carrion Crow would be me…

The majority of the old Grenadier Future Warriors line, which is carried by Moonraker Miniatures in the UK and Mirliton in Europe was sculpted by Mark Copplestone.

His Future Wars line is his own reinterpretation of these original figures, although I prefer the style of the assault rifles from the original Grenadier figures. So, both sets mix and match quite well and give you more options regarding the types of troops you can field.

Yep, that's him all right…
