From Masters of Military via Shapeways, seven different models of the Borgward B2000 series of vehicles (including the B2000 A/O infantry carrier) pictured on my blog at: link Here's a pic (more at the link above):
The models are beautiful, and a must for late 1950s/early 1960s West Germans. Thanks for looking. |

What Shapeways material did you have them printed in? Are there visible striations? |

They were printed in "Smooth Fine Detail Plastic", which I think is the only option for these models. I could distinguish 3-4 layers in the hood, but not much elsewhere on the models. I would estimate that the layers are less than 1/100 of an inch thick, and after spraying with gray primer, I could not identify them any longer. Some of my camera's photos reflected back some light, causing some speckles in the pics, which are not visible when looking at the actual models. They are very smooth, having a finer finish than many of the metal castings that I have from other 1/285 / 6mm manufacturers. |
