That's the question…I've been calling the Marriott in Lancaster weekly but the rooms still aren't open, and after last year's one-day run on the rooms I don't want to miss out again.

Anyone got any intel on this?

Why am I hearing Romancing the Stone?

"When are you coming back, Ira?"
"Soon."
"How soon?"
"Very soon!"

It seems like HMGS booked the entire hotel.

It would be folly not to.

I thought that it might be frugal to move away from the 2 core hotels, given the success of the free parking program.

Silly Rabbit. A Clarion a few miles north lists rooms now at $50 USD a night. Seemed promising. I internet checked the rooms for next July and they spiked up to $135. USD I called the hotel and they quoted $165. USD And this with their swimming pool being currently green. The liner is painted blue, the water is green. Woof! It's been that way so long you can see it on Google Earth!

The Eden Resorts out at 222 and 30 lists at $200 USD now. I shudder to think what it'll be next July.

Looks like I'll be clawing away for a downtown room like everyone else.

I actually liked the Hotel Lancaster. GOOD service. Good restaurant. Above average load in/out convenience. Comparable price to the Marriott, but 3 blocks, thru the July heat, away.
