Very interesting order. Unfortunately, many manufacturers still produce early Russians with rectangular shields. This is a big mistake related to the image of warriors on the icons. In Russian icons, warriors were depicted according to the Byzantine canon, with scutums. This error comes from here. In fact, round and teardrop-shaped shields were used. I took the Vikings from the Legio Heroica and added Donnington's drop-shaped shields to them. In addition, my partner Dmitry Lastovets made pieces of figures wich "Russian hat" (this item of clothing of the Vikings of the Eastern Way is mentioned in Icelandic sagas). Several figures (including Prince Svyatoslav on a horse) were subjected to a more serious conversion to show wounded and tired soldiers at the request of the customer.
