There is not much time left to Crucible Crush's Black Sun Kickstarter. Today I got to take a look at their Viet Cong Miniatures in 28mm. If you haven't checked them out, come on over and take a look. link

I wonder how they match up with the US troops from Gringo 40s and Empress? Neither of those have 1960s VC yet.

I love the Black Sun fish men with with AK-47s. Excellent figures. I don't know if I'll use them for Vietnam or something else, but they called to me at Historian, and I finished painting some last night.

I actuary purchased the fishermen with open hands from the Cthulu line and added German WWII equipment. The next pack of them for Black Sun are supposed to have rifles, not AKs. The Vietcong had many fewer AKs than the common perception.

I would love to see a seated machine-gun team with a gun that would pass for WWII. I have a giant alligator from Reaper that really NEEDs to be a mobile machine-gun nest for these figures.
