I found a bunch of 15mm Vikings in my storage bozes already painted. Cool i thought, just have to base them. They look like old Minifigs, which are now Viking Forge iirc. true 15s, maybe 16. The figures are a little static with only only a few poses, so maybe i'd like to add some from different ranges. Anybody have some recommendations? PS i don't mind 'some' variation, but cannot abide having 7-footers standing next to pygmies. Just a mental block I have. |

The Viking Forge figures do have a look of Minifigs about them, though the current Minifigs range sold by Caliver are different. However, that should mean that they will mix well but give variation. That assumes that there isn't any variation in the Minifigs bags – most are single pose but some have variants. The range is here link but you have to look at the PDF catalogue on the right to see the Vikings. See TMP link as well. |

Essex is on the truer part of the 15mm spectrum. I believe Irregular are as well, but I am not sure. |

Old Glory's 15s are bigger than Essex as well as TTGs. Not incompatible, but within the range of average human variation. I have many shots of them, but none of them side by side. Maybe you can glean something here: link |

I am confused. Viking Forge Vikings are the old Asgard range. They are different from minifig mainly in the bases. When did Viking forge buy Minifig? Smallest to l arrest…maybe Two Dragons as the smallest or Mikes Models would be it. Old 1st edition Minifig is next. Essex old glory 15, and 2nd edition Minifig are similar in size. Museum and thistle and rose were larger. |

Viking Forge didn't buy Minifigs rudynelson. I answered a question on this a few days ago - TMP link Now there is one thing about Asgard and Viking Forge – I have some Sassanid clibanarii that I believe are from both. What I believe are the Viking Forge figures are slightly smaller – possibly the result of shrinkage from using production figures as masters to recreate molds. |

Yes I sold Asgard in the 1980s as Asgard and Viking Forge.Loren and I attended many shows at that time and our booths were often located next to each other. Personally the Asgard NKE were some of the best and easy to paint. Minifig 1st generation we're smaller, on strips and had to be clipped off bases. Minifig 2nd generation had very thick bases with an expanded range of offerings. The 3rd generation had thin more square bases but I do not think that they offered Vikings in that generation. |

Peter Pig Vikings should mix pretty well. Lots of variety in their range. |
