Sounds like a great time – I was in Nottingham for a meeting about 10 years ago and visited Games Workshop (including a bacon sandwich at Bugman's) but sadly Foundry was closed that day – so it is on the list for a re-visit! |

That looked like a very fun convention. So many old miniatures I would love to have in those cases… |

Looks like a fun day. Who is Tony Blair? Former UK PM. |

How welcome is someone that just shows up at either WF or GW there in Nottingham? As an American who might find himself over there at some random time, is it worth the trek over or is it only worthwhile if a special event? |

Foundry is tucked away in a quiet corner of Nottinghamshire and is usually pretty quiet during the week. Best to check they are open if going, if they are they'll make you welcome. If you let them know you are going in advance, I'm sure they would give you a quick tour of the battlefield (that they are located on). Both Warlord and GW are more central Nottingham. Warlord is a bit more of a centre, so is geared up for visitors. As for Warhammer World it is a visitor centre, bar, café, shopping experience as well as gaming tables. There's another gaming store in the Warlord building – Arcane. Plus of course Caliver Books can vaguely be described as being in North. |
