…To Our Response To Pain, Researchers Prove.

"New videos captured by researchers are changing the way that people look at plants.

A study from the University of Wisconsin-Madison published on September 14 in Science revealed that when a plant is injured, they release a nervous system-like signal throughout their body, similar to the pain response found in humans and other animals.

When a human is injured, sensory cells in our bodies alert our nervous system to release the neurotransmitter glutamate. This stimulates a part of our brain to release adrenaline, which kicks our fight-or-flight response into gear…."

Man, that's gonna mess with the minds of the PETA people.

They're going to have to live on just air, since drinking water might mean they're swallowing amoebae and protozoans, and we can't have that either.

Hey robert – was that the same issue of JIR that had the ground breaking study "The Utilization of Cucumis sativus compared to Solanum melongena by homemakers as Non-visual Personal Entertainment Systems in English Urban Households (1973-1976)" ?

Good research, well laid out.

Cartoonist Sergio Aragones just did an article for the October 2019 issue of Mad Magazine about the subject.
