Here are the Iron Golems I've finished so far.
I wanted to do a slightly nurgle look. I didn't want it to be totally decayed but a bit on the decayed side. These are going to be marauder level troops in my Nurgle army as well as their role in Warcry.
They are really nice models, easy to assemble and pretty quick to paint. I've not used any contrast paints on them. I've got the last three on my painting desk now to do and I still have to base the Dwarf and Ogre.
I think the yellow light made the verdigris come out stronger than it is on the model while not bringing out the rust that I've done on the armour. They are a lot more balanced between those colours in real life.

I posted this in Post-Apoc because it seemed like a lot of these guys, if not all of them, would work in a Mad Max game with little to no conversion. |

Nice look to them! I like the Nurgle rusted/tarnished look, rather than moldy and squishy look… |

I think the figures are pretty great too. Not so sure about the game yet. I have read the rules and they don't seem great. I've been wrong before with just a reading though, like with Dropzone Commander. The rules for that seemed dull as ditchwater but the game, the rules combined with the stats for the troops, was fantastic. So we'll see. I have just finished priming my untamed Beasts so maybe I'll get a game in sometime this week. I used a mix of Delta Ceramcoat, GW, Blick Matte and Vallejo on these. |

Here are the rest of them and the Dwarf and Ogor based.
I really like how they did the bolas on this guy. With him whirling them over his head it looks super dynamic.
Overall the Iron Legionaries are the least interesting of the Iron Golems. But I guess they are the rank and file guys so that is kind of to be expected. They still look pretty cool
I'd like to get my hands more of them actually. If I could get a warband together with another 12 of them that would be a decent sized force of marauders for my Nurgle army. |

Pictor's, You are the undisputed master of rust. I wish anything I painted looked this good. Love the verdigris effect. It's everywhere but it still looks understated. Did you use the GW technical paint for that? |

I didn't. I used a mix of acrylics that just ended up looking like sybarite green, which reminded me I needed a new pot of sybarite green as I used up my last one making my Sons of Horus mix. Thank you for the compliment. |
