I just read this book from the Zeughausverlag. Its from a series comparable to Osprey, though with less illustrations (none in this work, though you get lots of contemporary images and plenty of good reenaction equipment and folks). The strength of these works is in the text, which gives a good overview on the campaign based on the actual state of the historical art. If history is what you are looking for, this work will not disappoint. link Sadly not many of these works are translated into English (the original line with now 32 volumes is in German). |

:-) Tell me what you think of it – especially if you don't like it, so that I can be more carefull with my recommendations next time. As I only have the German version I am also interested in the quality of the translation. |
