"We at the American Battlefield Trust are re-releasing our Animated Battle Maps with newly branded openings. Following victories at Gettysburg and Vicksburg during the summer of 1863, Union forces continued into the Deep South with an offensive in southeastern Tennessee and northwestern Georgia. Confederate forces led by Braxton Bragg stood firm and gave the Union Army their biggest defeat of the Western Theater in the Civil War." YouTube link Amicalement Armand

Very nice. Better than anything on the ACW available to view on commercial [cable TV] these days. Mention of "Assault Columns" deployed in successive lines too, so appreciate the historiography. Thanks Armand! |

I'd also like to know how the locals pronounce McLemore's Cove. There's a town in West Tennessee called McLemoresville -- the locals pronounce it McLEMoresville and make fun of tourists who call it McLeMORESville. |

Don, they pronounce it MAcLEMore's Cove. The dominant syllable is actually the MAC, but the greater emphasis is on the LEM and non the MORE. |
