Preparing some Turcoploes and a unit of military order spearmen for the Battle of Hattin. I tried the GW contrast paint for the horses, not bad for a quick paint job. Not sure it did anything I could not already do using a wash though. Same color was used on all four horses with a different base coat.

Thanks guys, regarding the minis I have always had a love hate relationship with Old Glory. I love the variety and the price is really hard to beat. I truly dislike the "some carving" required issues. I do think they paint up nicely and the size blends pretty well with a lot of other miniature lines. Anyway these will join a very large collection of figures (many Old Glory) for some desert action at the Battle of Hattin and other First Crusade battles using Triumph miniature rules. |
