Cthulhu 1968 is a tasty blend of Cthulhu and the Tet Offensive during the Vietnam War. This Black Sun campaign features miniatures and accessories for a pulp battle in the Vietnamese jungle in 28mm.

I'm confused…except for a couple of AK-looking weapons, most of these appear to be WW2 vintage--so not sure of the 1968 tag. More like alternate WW2 (at least for the figures shown).

That said, I like the look of the VC and the deep ones.

Needs more Tcho-Tchos. Seriously.

Katzbalger, there was a lot of leftover equipment used in the early stage of the Indo-China wars.

Edit: Just read the Kickstarter background – those Germans have been trapped since 1938, so intentional anachronism.

I went in for a single pack – the hippie cultists would be useful in other games.

There are also US GIs. circa 1968.

I'm fine with WWII weaponry. Not every VC carried an AK-47 or SKS carbine. In fact, I'd like to see a Thompson or two.

That is true, I've seen pics of VC carrying a number of different weapons. Including that MAT49 the "Hippy" is packing ! Pretty much anything they could get their hands on. At least in the early years of the war.

I do like the additions of the Germans/Nazis, very pulpy/Sci-fi ! They do make excellent bad guys[for a reason of course!]! Are they going to have some flying saucers and/or the "Bell" ? evil grin

Plus the addition of a surfing CAV COL is also very neat !!!!

"Charlie Don't surf ! And neither do those Bleeped text Nazis !"

I only realised after making my pledge that Bob Murch is making the figures. I may need to up my pledge.

But, you know, if you're going to add Nazis from another time, you might as well bring them in from their Moonbase.
