Those are some great looking minis!

Adm Richie22 Jul 2019 12:26 p.m. PST

Thanks! We like them A LOT.

Those minis look great! I might have missed where you said their size? Are they basically 28mm, or heroic (32mm)? I have a ton of Black Scorpion pirate minis, and wonder if these would fit with those, or look like halflings :-)

Why are they all standing on a floor of overlapping planks?

Adm Richie23 Jul 2019 12:16 p.m. PST

SeattleGamer – from the base of their feet to the top of their head they are 35mm. I have some Black Scorpion miniatures and I would say the skeletons from the two ranges are VERY similar in scale indeed, whilst our humans are larger than Black Scorpions. Of course, some people are bigger than others.

Sure, but neither floors nor decks are made with overlapping planks, so it throws off the whole look of the mini.

Adm Richie24 Jul 2019 11:43 a.m. PST

Ah, well, it's just the bases, not the minis. they are slotta based and can therefore by put on a wide variety of bases. I guess these were the closest our painter could find to the theme.

My apologies, then. I thought that the bases were an integral part of the mini. I like the figures -- especially the skeletons.

Adm Richie25 Jul 2019 7:15 a.m. PST

No need to apologise at all! Thanks!

I'm a little disappointed that they are so big! It sounds like they will not be compatible with my extensive collection of 28mm figures. 35mm is simply huge.

This said, they are great characters, full of detail. But couldn't they have done nearly as much detail in 28mm?

Adm Richie01 Aug 2019 11:29 a.m. PST

They looked best in 35mm and we were simply happiest with them that way. And whilst they probably will look too big against 28mm, they are the same size as some miniatures described as 32mm
